Vaquero Outdoors didn’t start in a boardroom.
It started with a 15-year-old sketching a hat logo on a scratch piece of paper while on vacation, dreaming with his dad about building a brand they’d actually want to wear.
Rooted in South Texas heritage and named after the original vaqueros; masters of ranching, roping, and riding since the 1500s, the brand quickly became more than a lesson in business. When the first shipment sold out in a single weekend, a choice had to be made: keep it small… or step on the gas. They stepped on the gas.
From hand-delivering hats around their hometown to presenting at Dallas Market Center, Vaquero Outdoors has grown into a brand carried in stores across multiple states, all while its founder balances high school sports, hunting seasons, and homework. Because this was never just about selling hats. It was about building something real.
